GeeDVD was established as a unit of WorldMedia in 2009 by Rani Vishwanathan to cater primarily to the needs of the classical Indian dance community outside India, and to support the young talented dancers in India by donating 20% of the profit to fund their projects. Rani Vishwanathan herself received training in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi in Pune from Divya Mahadevan and Kiran Rao respectively.
Being an online one-stop outlet that works directly with several suppliers in India, we are able to offer our customers the lowest prices on any DVD or VCD products. GeeDVD operates under special terms with many video production companies in India that restrict us from selling items to customers located in India.
